Merrell: Meet the 2017 College Ambassadors

Merrell is an outdoor brand that specializes in hiking shoes and clothing. As a Merrell College Ambassador, I get to lead amazing trips with the Outdoor Adventure Club through the generous grant provided by Merrell and Outdoor Foundation. Some of the trips include camping and hiking at local and state parks, ice skating, horseback riding and 5K runs. I love being an ambassador and am continuously inspired by my fellow colleagues! My favorite outdoor activities are hiking and paddling. I have two dogs who I love to bring on my adventures. My fun fact is that I will be graduating with my M.B.A and am moving this summer! My favorite Merrell item is the Women's TrailMist Rainjacket. The weather in St. Louis is so unpredictable so this is the perfect item; not too hot, not too cold, and it keeps me dry!

Rachel's favorite outdoor activity is hiking. She spent time doing mission work in Swaziland, Africa the past two summers. She stayed at a game park reserve where she could see elephants at the watering hole from her front window! She works as an Outdoor Adventure Trip Leader at the University of Central Florida where she takes people backpacking, teaches them how to surf, and invests in students' outdoor education. Her favorite Merrell item is a tie between the Liberty Agility Peak Flex shoes and the Willow Hike Tights because, well, pockets!

Charlotte's favorite outdoor activity is backpacking. In 2016, she got a concussion from tying her shoe before a hike. Her favorite Merrell item: "Everything! Racheal's favorite outdoor activity is snowshoeing and she's crazy about the outdoors! She is a senior studying nutrition. She will be interning for North Carolina Outward Bound this summer to train to be an assistant instructor. Her dream is to one day make healthy backpacking meals for the outdoor community.
